| so it's been extra long since I've been on here. It's been so long that I had forgotten that I changed my layout all around and whatev. Craziness. It's so crazy that I am finishing my first year of college. It's amazing how time flies by. But I am extra excited about this summer. I am doing Core Staff again this summer at Horton Haven and it should be an exciting summer. I am so pumped about it!
Not a whole lot has been going on here lately. I've been keeping busy with school and all that jazz. I have learned so much and am so thankful for being able to come to Emmaus for a year. But, sadly, I will not be returning. I will be going to MTSU in the fall to hopefully study Vocal Music Education (k-12) so that I can someday be a high school choir director. I am very excited about that as well, although I will miss everyone up here in Dubuque.
But anyways, that's just a quick update. I have lots of homework to finish up, so I need to get off here, but everyone have a fantabulous day! Love always~ Jess | | |
| ok.. so yeah, it's been an extra long time since i've used this thing, but I am still alive. I didn't die, or at least I don't think so.. lol. Things are going well. We got our first big snow of the year this past weekend. We have about 3-4 inches on the ground right now and it is amazing. Yesterday I just sat and watched the snow fall while doing some homework.. ahhh lovely.
My schedule this semester is a bit more rigorous (I suppose you could say). I have a lot more going on, but things are getting off to a great start. I love all my classes and professors and everyone here is amazing as always. I am so excited about the rest of the semester and all that it entails.... it'll be a busy, but fantastic semester. I'm looking forward to it, at the same time I'll be really sad when the time comes to leave. I had to make a hard decision and at the moment I have decided to transfer to MTSU in the fall to start my studies in Vocal Music Education for High School. Yes, my dream is to be a high school choir director. I know I won't make a lot of money, but if all I wanted was money, I would do something else. I have a strong passion for music and love sharing it with others. So, I have an audition for the School of Music at MTSU on March 2nd and I'm beginning to get nervous and excited about it. So, that's a definite prayer request. Also, in the line of prayer requests, continue to pray for my family and things going on there, specifically for my brother. Well, I must be going. | hey everyone~ so it's been extra long since i last updated... mostly because i have a facebook now, but anyways, i'll still try and update this every month or so... I've been really busy lately. I have a 10, count it 10, page paper in english right now that's due the day i get back from thanksgiving break... which for all of you who don't know, i am coming down to the lovely 'boro for thanksgiving to see my family and lovely friends... i'm super excited. Not too much else has been going on in my life besides school and school and..... more school. I still am loving it, but also looking forward to getting out for christmas soon. After thanksgiving break we have 2 weeks of classes then a week of finals then we are out on Dec. 15th and i should be safely into the 'boro by about 2am or so on wednesday morning. Then i will be home for about 3 1/2 weeks before i go back to school. which will be a fun time of getting to hang out with everyone... well, i better be going. | Although I'm pretty much the same as last time
I don't think guys will ever understand girls or girls will ever
understand guys, but i do know this girls when they like a guy build up
great feelings for them and every little thing is a "sign" that a guy
they like, likes them. Guys, from what I can tell, never like you
as more than a friend unless they tell you. Nothing that they do
is really making a move or sending a "signal" or "sign" unless they've
told you how they feel. We're made differently, but all made to
fit perfectly into someone else's arms and to work with someone else's
personality. God has made us so intricately.
I'm not all about guys, as some might think from this entry. I
haven't had a boyfriend in months and it's been great. I've made
many new friends. I'm slowly coming out of my shell up here in
Iowa. I've learned to wait on God's timing. I know He has
someone so special for me, and I have no idea when or where I'll meet
him. He could be here in Iowa or back home in TN or a number of
other places, but I know God specially picked Him out just for me, and
it's a comfort knowing that and knowing that in God's timing, He will
bring the perfect guy to me and I don't have to anything but wait on
His perfect timing. It's just something I've been thinking about
lately.

| Hello all,
I am a College Girl at Emmaus Bible College! Hoorah! I'm
having an absolutely fabulous time here. I'm an alto in the Emmaus
Ensemble and am just having so much fun here. Everyone is just so
great. My courses are challenging, but how would we ever learn
without being challenged. My hardest will probably be English Comp.
because I'm not an english person at all and am not a deep thinker when
I read most of the time, so it will be hard, but I'll survive..
lol. And no, for all ya'll who are wondering, I haven't met a guy
lol... it's only the first week of classes... lol. I'm not here
for guys anyway, I'm here to deepen my relationship with Christ and set
up a firm foundation before I go to MTSU and enter into the real
world. But anyways, just thought I would update ya'll on things
going on in my life. I miss and love all of ya'll dearly.
